Where there should be so much, there is nothing. No traffic, no sea or islands, no visible sky or sun, almost no color. Just a still, lost highway.
I photographed this place for a long time: at different times of year, in different light, with different cameras, and from different angles. Some of these images are in the feed. I always felt there was something compelling about it.

Finally, after three years, I found what I had been looking for: no traffic across eleven lanes, dense fog still letting sunlight through, and even light with almost no shadow. The atmosphere I wanted was finally there.
