In some kinds of photography, the idea doesn’t fully come before the image, because the camera itself produces visual information that isn’t directly available to the human eye. As the author, I form the idea through repeated interaction with that result.

I take the first few shots, look at them, find potentially interesting angles and movements, and then, shot after shot, I keep checking the result and finalizing the capture, while trying to collect as much visual information as possible for later processing and printing.

In fact, the idea in its final form doesn’t exist before I interact with the scene. It takes shape through the process of working with the camera.

But can this be called randomness? Not here. Unpredictable does not mean random. The movement is mine but what it produces cannot be calculated in advance.
